DEL T8 LED tube are designed to be more reliable, as 1) they are made of high quality SMD
LEDs, with high brightness maintenance and good heat management; 2) they are using
specially designed aluminum housing with good heat dissipation, and have no heat buildup
on LED circuit board; and 3) they are using specially designed constant current driver,
which ensures longer operating life span of the tube as LED is a current driven device.
Drop-in replacement with optional retrofit
DEL T8 LED tube can directly be placed into the existing T8 fluorescent fixture with
magnetic ballast without having to remove the starter or the ballast. However, for the sake
of better energy savings with better power factor, it is recommended to have the ballast
bypassed. Fixtures mounted with power factor correction AC capacitor must be
disconnected. Existing starter need not be removed. However, our tube needs no starter or
ballast to operate.
